Part 4: Responding to Alerts

Monitoring is great but let’s see it in action. Let’s see what happens where there is a failure. In this session we will look at some “Management” capabilities as well as responding to alerts. We put our SharePoint server into an Error condition by stopping the sptimer service which is a critical part of the SharePoint system. We then look at several ways to recover from that alert as well as what components make up the alert.
